What is grape seed extract?
The grape seed extract is a dietary supplement made by removing, drying, and crushing the bitter seeds of grapes. Two beneficial components in grape seed extract are polyphenols and proanthocyanidins. Polyphenols are powerful antioxidants, and proanthocyanidins help protect the integrity of blood vessels.

Proanthocyanidins, referred to as PC, is a general term for a large class of polyphenolic compounds that widely exist in plants. Its oligomer oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) are internationally recognized as effective natural antioxidants for scavenging free radicals in the human body. The content of proanthocyanidins in grape seeds is 3.05%, accounting for 62.9% of the total phenols in grape seeds.
