What is L-Isoleucine?
L-isoleucine, also known as "isoleucine", is systematically named "α-amino-β-methylvaleric acid". White crystalline flakes or crystalline powder. Slight bitterness. No odor. Nutritional supplements. It is one of the essential amino acids of the human body and a kind of aliphatic neutral amino acids. One of the essential amino acids, the minimum daily requirement is about 0.7g. It can be fortified in various foods, such as wheat flour, glutenin, peanut flour, potato, etc. Isoleucine is a limiting amino acid and should be fortified. It can also be used with other essential amino acids in amino acid preparations and amino acid infusions.
Molecular formula: C6H13NO2,Molecular weight 131.17, Sublimation temperature 168-170ºC. They are essential amino acids required for normal infant development and nitrogen balance in adults. "There are four isoforms, and only L-form has physiological effects." Excessive consumption will antagonize leucine and hinder development. The adult male requirement is 1.3g/100ml.
More is found in meat. There are two asymmetric carbon atoms in isoleucine. So there are four stereoisomers. L-isoleucine is found in various proteins, but D-isoleucine is not found in proteins. L-isoleucine is one of the essential amino acids and is nutritionally related to valine and leucine, which have similar structures. Although it is a sugar amino acid, it is slightly ketogenic.
"In the organism, A-methylbutoxyl-coa, which is generated from isoleucine through aminotransfer and decarboxylation, undergoes fatty acid-like decomposition to form acetyl-coa and propionyl-coa, which become succinyl-coa and enter the citric acid cycle." "When synthesized by bacteria, they are known to consist of threonine and pyruvate dihydroxyacid-a-keto acids."
L-isoleucine is an essential amino acid and one of the three branched chain amino acids in human body. Because of its special structure and function, L-isoleucine plays a particularly important role in human life metabolism. L-isoleucine is mainly used to prepare complex amino acid preparations, especially for high branched-chain amino acid infusion (such as 3H infusion, etc.) and oral solution.
